Aren't they adorable?! Every Wednesday my kids attend our church's program for kids called AWANA. They memorize bible verses, play games, have devotionals and earn AWANA bucks to spend 4 times during the year at the AWANA store. From time to time they have theme nights like crazy hair night, crazy sock night, unusual hats, etc. Tonight was "Dress Like A Nerd" night. It was the final AWANA

Dh and I had plans to go to Vegas for our 13th wedding anniversary that's coming up on the 24th of this month. He surprised me the other night by changing our plans and finding an affordable cruise for us! We are sailing from San Diego to Catalina Island and then we're off to Ensenada Mexco. It's a 4 day cruise and I couldn't be more excited! We've never been on a cruise before and I'm just

I'm just kidding! Well, maybe...LOL! Today's picture is not an unfamiliar one in the CS circles. My beloved pizza box arrived today and I am THRILLED BEYOND BELIEF with this month's kit! I am going to sit and ALSB it tonight because I already have some great pics to put on this beautiful paper once PSL starts. Yep, I'm a weirdo. I refuse to do any layouts right now because PSL is right

Any of you moms out there with daughters know exactly what I mean. I have two cordless phones in the house. The first hurdle is actually finding one of them when I need to use it. Whew, I locate one and dial. I'm in the middle of making a doctor's appointment or chatting with a friend and the familiar beeping starts. The battery is low. Ugh....how many times have I told those girls to put

My poor Cards! They sure hung in there and played a great game but in the end our defense just wasn't strong enough to hold those Steelers back with only 2 minutes left in the game. Okay, I'm not going to go into the fact that I think the refs made a really BAD call on our last play. Sure didn't look like a fumble to me! Okay, I think I just went into it when I said I wasn't....oops! Well,

Of course, living in Arizona, we are HUGE Cardinal fans! Hubby has been a loyal fan since the Cards came to AZ back in the 80's. This is an exciting day for us as our Cards play in the Super Bowl for the very first time! My oldest daughter, Vivian, painted everyone's faces for the game. Here is my wonderful family, minus me because I couldn't figure out the timer on the camera. But my cheeks

My only goals today were to do school and go grocery shopping. School got done without a problem but as you can see from the picture there was no way I was going grocery shopping. The swelling and pain is located in my left ankle and knee. My knee is just as swollen and painful as my ankle. I see my rheumatologist a week from Monday for a check up. I'm obviously going to talk to him about a

Today's pic is of my almost 12 yo son, Andrew. Nothing could be more everyday to him than his Nintendo DS. It's what he loves to do in his down time. Okay, so here's a boy for ya...he showered yesterday and take a look at those fingernails. Yuck! But isn't he

It only seems fitting as the first day of the week that today's picture reflects one way I try and stay organized. I always consider Monday the first day of the week...I know that isn't entirely true! As you might imagine, homeschooling five kids, taking care of the house and dh plus all that goes on in life takes some organization. I have a couple of different daytimers that I use. This one is

There were a lot of you that emailed me directly asking to see some more of Vivian's artwork so I searched my computer to see what I had scanned. Here are a couple of drawings that I happened to have on my computer. This one is called "God's Word is Alive and Active in Me". I love the detail in this one, especially the nails with the pool of blood. I also love how she took a passage of
