Okay, I could most likely do all this stuff myself, and pretty much have in the past. I mean I'm a journeyman die maker and know my way around tools and hardware stores. But it sure is nice to not have to.
My house is old and tired. It was when we got it but the folks who were here before us were pretty good with cosmetic cover-ups so many of those things you'd love to know when buying a house

It's so easy to get locked in to our own perception of reality. No matter what the subject matter is, we have a limited, and yes, even skewed view of what the reality surrounding that subject is. That's understandable, because there is no way we can see things from every angle, or catch all those small nuances that could influence our perception.
The trick is to remain flexible, or to at least

Okay, he's a great friend and has been a wonderful partner on several projects over the past several years. We have a lot in common, our trade, many of our abilities, though he has more experience than I do in several areas. He is much more analytical and black and white where I tend to be much more 'grey' He does truly appreciate creativity and has some himself, but more from the engineer

Oh I am soooo ready for this! The weather peeps are talkin' bout it's gonna be up around 60° today! OHH YEYAS!!!
In honor of that and what it does to my mood, and partly because I heard through the virtual grapevine that some folks were struggling with the Common Threads Yellow Print paper.
That golden yellow is bright and beautiful and full of sunshine and warmth. At least that's what I see

Every time I sit down in my recliner, one of my kitties, Pain, jumps up on my lap, promptly turns around so I get the rear end view and settles in. If I touch her she gives me this "what are you thinking?" kind of look over her right shoulder. If I try to pick her up for a snuggle, she bolts across the room and into the kitchen making noises that I swear are the kitty equivilant of cussing me

Anyone use Google Alerts? I started using it when my youngest son started spending more time online chatting with his friends and cousins so that I would get a notice if his name or online name shows up online somewhere. It isn't the best or most timely alert but it's another tool to use to keep an eye on him a bit. As a curiosity I've also got it set up to alert me about myself.
Well, I got

Relaxed even.
It's a rather nice feeling for a change. Since this whole job thing blew up, I've had this borderline nausea. We're talking since October folks.
Well, I got some mail the other day with a seperation offer in it and notice of a meeting to explain it all that was scheduled to happen at the plant today. The part of the offer that fit my situation actually made me feel more ill, and

I was playing around with a couple of the 6x6 digi page swap pages I made today picking out some photos to slide into them and decided that the One of a Kind page needed to have 'Treat pics on it.
Lately I've found I've become even more introspective than normal with so many things to think about and try to figure out and the changing direction of my life right now. When I chose 'Treat pics, I

It's been a horrid week for me, so intense and frustrating. I fought "The System" all week long. Ended up on the news 3 times and even had my photo on the front page of the Press lol. For my part I won my battle. Others, I'm sure were not so lucky. The war is still on, and I'm still in the thick of it, but when that battle was won, after so much intensity and stress, I couldn't stop the

As much as I'd rather play a bit today, and even though there are things that really need to be done around the house, I decided it was time to at least take a look at the old resume' and see what I need to add to it or what needs an update style tweak. I'm still in a bit of a holding pattern, waiting and hoping to hear soon, what options might be presented by GM, but despite it's being out of
