Retirement card - Irish & Soccer themed

Retirement card for a co-worker. His is Irish and his favorite hobby is soccer, so I was asked to come up with a card using both themes and this is what transpired!

Papillion card

Cut 4 squares (1.5 in x 1.5 in) - rubberstamp Butterfly images (ClubScrap) with versamark ink, emboss images with white embossing powder. Sponge ink onto images and mat, adhere to card back.

2 cards in the Jan/Feb/Mar 2013 issue of Stampers' Sampler.

Green card: Stamp 'spiral' image (ClubScrap Common Threads kit) in black on patterned cardstock. Cut image into 1/2 inch strips horizontally, then cut 1 inch strips in a tile fashion and adhere to card back. Embellish.

White card: Used 'frame' image from ClubScrap Refresh kit in 3 colors, 'spiral' image is from ClubScrap

Flower Butterfly card

Background cardstock is dry embossed and inked. On white cardstock, stamp the 'collage' image (ClubScrap) with versamark, emboss with white embossing powder. Using a sponge, sponge on burgandy and purple inks, wipe any color on embossed words off, to make them pop out. I diecut 'flowers' with Sizzix diecut, then trimmed off 2 of the 'petals' to create butterflies. Adhered to card back.
