After reading Donna Lee's and JulieH's posts about creating their own stamped and colored papers, similar to the collections Kay Williamson created for a retreat a few years ago, my mind was buzzing with ideas. Then, yesterday afternoon while reading a Scrap-n-Stamp Arts magazine during my kiddos' taekwondo practice, I read an article entitle The Frugal Crafter. It showcased ideas on how to make

The last time I wrote a blog post here was in 2010???!!!

Wow. Ok. So that's not cool. My plan here is to document a little more detailed what each of my Weekly Chronicle Layouts means to me.
I'm usually not much of a resolution person - I am always working to improve and do and be and ... yeah. Try. But since this was the challenge theme for the week, I decided to do a little more thinking

Attendees of Club Scrap's 2011 Retreats were sent an extra stamp set ahead of time, in order to encourage folks to make cards for a local hospice organization. It was entitled We Are Aware, and here are the cards I made using the set. Details can be found in the Galleria. The above set was my personal favorite! :)
The colors are pretty off, but the teal in these cards is from scraps of Mosaic

Tricia, that is the coolest deal! I tried out the Scholarship ALCM instructions (found in the Free ALSB section) using a Club Stamp paper pack. I wanted to make some holiday cards, so I found some Haberdashery Cst paper I bought on sale earlier this year - I think I may have paid all of $2.00 for this paper pack. Seriously. TWELVE cards for $2.00. The mind boggles.
Anyway, I substituted

I made these cards for a recent FFC workshop I taught. We made 3 puzzler cards using the Peace on Earth stamp. I admit, I cheated. I taught them how to cut the pieces, adhere them to the carpet tape, and then we stamped on top with India ink. It looks very nice and I didn't have to worry about the image lining up.
The Noel and Joy cards were made by spritzing water on a WM stamp (a stencil

Tomorrow I get to head down to a crop - YAY!! I'm hoping to get a few pages done for the Walleye team while I'm there, and just visit with everyone in person.
My life is being a little topsy turvy lately, with Dave moving down to S. Cal (about 7 hours away) but we're trying to make the most of it. Tomorrow after the crop, we will be meeting in Monterey and hanging out with William.
On that note,

I don't have a picture to post, at least not one I took myself. All that happened to me was LOTS of rain. But my town, and the major city we live near, was devastated this weekend. It felt like Katrina happened here. I'm sure there were quite a few people who moved from New Orleans to Nashville after Hurricane Katrina, thinking "Oh, Nashville is safe. Nothing but a few tornadoes here and

As part of the Embellisher's team, we have set up a couple little fat book swaps to get to know each other better. We have become very close through our challenge, so these books are just great memories of what a great group we are!

Hello everyone,
Ive just joined Club Srap and am a brand new Crafter looking forward to the journey.

Today, I received word via Facebook that my son (William, 19) has passed his PT test in basic training for the army, so he is officially done with boot camp and will be off, I believe, to Monterey to continue his training in language.
I had these pics printed for a while, and finally put them all in place tonight, adding in a couple other details to make it fit the 'three kit' theme for PSL this
